I had an awesome day taking part in the Etsy Team Cambridge Christmas Pop-Up Shop today! It was great meeting the other sellers and seeing their gorgeous work and the way that they have transformed the space. There’s still time to visit us tomorrow from 11am – 8pm at The Fountain Inn, Regent Street, Cambridge.
I’ve been stitching away every chance I get this summer and my Etsy shop is getting nice and full. Here are some of the things I’ve been working on this month.
Quilted baby bibs with a nice soft fleece back and colourful plastic snaps. Nice and absorbent for dribbles and spills!
Some new rockabilly head bands including this Vintage Seamstress design.
A bunch of cute and colourful zip purses in a range of awesome fabrics. These are so versatile and useful!
A custom teepee play tent for a little girl in Greece. These can be made to order in your choice of fabric. Check out my shop for more info!
A Very Hungry Caterpillar play mat for my friend’s new baby boy.
I’ve had lots of inquiries about my quilts and play mats and these are now available to order in my shop too. We can work together to create a one of a kind quilt, a perfect gift or keepsake.
Baby Reuben and little Zachary seem to love their play mats!
Lots of exciting projects are planned for Autumn so keep an eye on my facebook page for updates. Roll on Halloween!
I’ve been stitchin’ again. 😀 These ‘Tea and Sewing’ quilted bags are available in my shop now! http://bethanyeowyn.etsy.com
Poppy loves making dens and hiding under blankets and I had been wanting to make her a play tent for a while. She is now 18 months old so her half-birthday and the warm summer weather seemed like a good excuse to give it a go! Safe to say Poppy *loves* her new play Teepee.
It was so fun to make and Poppy loves it so I decided to go for it and add it to my shop as a made to order item. You choose the door fabric & applique lettering or design.
The Teepee comes without the poles to make it easier and cheaper to post, the poles can be purchased from most DIY shops. If any local friends are interested and can collect in person I can include the poles , just let me know. 🙂
Perfect for teddy bears tea parties, reading stories, hide and seek and more. The teepee can be used indoors or outside in dry weather. Poppy has been having fun playing peepo with the curtains! I’m looking forward to many fun times with this tent. What a fun project. 🙂
It’s starting to feel like summer here in the UK so I thought I’d better get on with sharing my Spring projects!
I’ve been having loads of fun trying my hand at this ‘quilt as you go’ technique. I’ve enjoyed picking out fabrics for a selection of wash bags and purses in this style.
A few ‘Tea and Sewing’ purses and bags are still available in my shop.
Next I’m working on some quilted accessories with an Alice in Wonderland theme. 🙂
I’ve also been working on quite a few Dolly Mixture commissions, including this little Emerald Witch outfit and Mori Girl dress set for Blythe dolls.
I also made this Cozy Kittens baby dress as a special order from sweet Japanese baby cord. Another dress like this is available in my shop. 🙂
Lots of exciting projects planned for the summer and maybe some more sewing tutorials too. 🙂
We took Poppy for her first trip to the seaside a few weeks ago too. She loved the sea! Hoping to go back in the summer 🙂
It’s November already… this year is flying past. Poppy is 10 months old now and she’s just so sweet & funny. We went to look at the Autumn colour garden at the Botanic Garden this week.
We celebrated Poppy’s first Halloween this week too. ^_^
I’ve been stitching away and updating my Etsy shop as often as possible. Here are a few of the things I’ve been making this Autumn…
I made some more of my wristband pincushions, this time in Liberty of London fabric with vintage buttons. There’s one left in my shop, and I will be making more (Japanese silk ones too) for the winter craft fairs I’m trading at and hopefully for my Etsy shop too.
I’ve also been making some embellished zip purses which are in my shop now. ^_^
Now I’m busy preparing for the Christmas craft fairs I’m trading at this year, but I’ll make sure I update my shop in good time for the Christmas post deadlines too! I’m making all sorts of things (with some *gorgeous* fabrics!) so I’ll be sure to share some photos here and on my facebook page of my work in progress. Baby Poppy keeps me busy so I’ll be sewing every chance I get! Gambate to all those preparing for craft shows this season!
Hello! I seem to be able to manage one blog post per season at the moment! This is my summer post. ^_~
I’ve been enjoying the summer so far! Back in July I celebrated my birthday with a new sewing machine! Baby Poppy is keeping me really busy, but I have been able to spend a few blissful days and a lot of evenings sewing. One of the first things I made was a summer dress for Poppy, from sparkly goldfish fabric I bought on a very hot day in Tokyo, it seems like a long time ago now!
I think Poppy likes it. ^_^ She’s 7 and a half months old now and she’s getting so strong and clever! She amazes me every day with all the new things she can do. This summer has been all about picnics and parks! We put quilts down on the grass and let Poppy play.
I like the kimono style crossover bodice so much that I made another baby dress which is available to buy in my Etsy shop. This one is made from Japanese fabric with a traditional floral print. The dress is trimmed with Japanese lace. This one is made to fit a 12-18 month old. Let me know what you think of this style. ^_^
I’ve also been making lots of Blythe doll dresses and my Dolly Mixture Etsy shop is well stocked at the moment! I’ve been experimenting with applique, top stitching and printing my own fabric. ❤
I’ve got a few more projects planned for the rest of August. Next up are some Totoro applique cushion covers which should be in my shop very soon. ^_^
That’s all for now! I’m sure I’ll update again in Autumn! ❤ xxx
