I finally finished making Poppy’s Mud Kitchen! It was 95% recycled, thrifted and salvaged! I spent a few quid on the little whisk and colander. The cooker is made from an old cupboard turned on it’s side, with a magnetic closure added inside the door. The top part is an old draw found in a skip. The pots and pans were donated by a kind person on a local freecycle group. Hopefully P will have loads of fun with it this summer. 🙂
It’s been a while since I last had a chance to update my blog, I hope to do so more often! I am still stitching away, making personalised items for my Etsy customers. I have recently added Birthday crowns to my shop, which can be made in your choice of colours and shapes. There is also the option of a crown with changeable Velcro numbers for each birthday!
Spring is in the air here in the UK and my personalised play tents are proving popular! Now available with windows! Great for indoor and outdoor play.
I hope to share more of the fun activities I get up to with my lovely daughter, we always have a project on the go! Some of our recent makes include this dinosaur terrarium in a Poundland cocktail bowl!
At the moment we are making her a mud kitchen to play with in the garden this spring and summer. More photos coming soon. 🙂
I hope everyone has been enjoying the summer! I have been working on some fun sewing projects.
This fun teepee play tent design is for a little girl from her new baby brother. I love the Zap Pow Wham fabric!
This set of items were part of a custom order for a customer who looked through my past makes and chose some items she would like made in her favourite colours. It was great fun working with this lovely Japanese fabric and vintage flower charms.
I stocked up my shop with some new zip purses in Japanese fabrics! ♥
This pretty girly play tent is off to a little girl in Australia.
I also took my stall to a summer fair to support a local breastfeeding support group. Thanks to everyone who visited my stall!
I finally got a chance to make a Zap Pow Wham dress for my gorgeous little girl too.
I have a bunch of new designs on the sewing table for my shop which I should be able to share soon. ^_^
I had to share these beautiful photos of little Reuben on his 1st birthday enjoying his 50’s kitsch meets Native American teepee. Reuben’s mum sent me a bunch of inspiring images with the kind of colours and designs she likes and together we came up with this fun design. It looks like Reuben loves it!
Custom teepee play tents are available in my shop. The possibilities for custom colours, fabrics, appliqués and trims are endless. Get in touch with your ideas. Thanks!
Poppy loves making dens and hiding under blankets and I had been wanting to make her a play tent for a while. She is now 18 months old so her half-birthday and the warm summer weather seemed like a good excuse to give it a go! Safe to say Poppy *loves* her new play Teepee.
The Teepee comes without the poles to make it easier and cheaper to post, the poles can be purchased from most DIY shops. If any local friends are interested and can collect in person I can include the poles , just let me know. 🙂
Perfect for teddy bears tea parties, reading stories, hide and seek and more. The teepee can be used indoors or outside in dry weather. Poppy has been having fun playing peepo with the curtains! I’m looking forward to many fun times with this tent. What a fun project. 🙂
